On 16th July, SHIC’s Project Department of Rasuwa Bhotekoshi, on behalf of Huaxia Group, and Shuifa Group, donated medical supplies including face masks, protective suits etc. to local administration authorities of Rasuwa District, Province 1, Nepal. The local government, at the first place,expressed its gratitude in a letter to Shuifa for the timely help.
As badly affected by the global pandemic, Nepal is at a critical moment and its prevention and control situation against spread of COVID-19 has become increasingly severe. Like many other countries, crucial shortage of prevention materials were hindering its efforts to fight againstspread of the pandemic. After noticed this, Shuifa Group immediately sourced the necessary materials and sent it to Nepal .
‘It greatly helped us in emergency. We appreciate it a lot as Shuifa Group is here with Nepalese at this difficult moment. We look forward to more cooperation in future development.’ a representative from the local government said, when accepting the donation.
And Mr. Liu Jianxin, Chairman of SHIC,a subsidiary of Huaxia Group, who has been holding fast to the abroad project, also said that while the Group is working well on prevention and control of COVID-19 within, it concerns about health and safety of all employees abroad. Shuifa Group raised materials timely, that not only eased everyone’s worries, but also greatly encouraged everyone.As Shuifa people, employees all feel proud of the group’s humanistic care to Nepal community. He also said that in the next step, SHIC would take measures of pandemic prevention according to the group’s requirements, and be more tenactious to the job duty, and go all out to maintain the safe and stable operation of Bagmati Hydropower Plant (22MW) and to promote the construction of Rasuwa otekoshi Hydropower Project(120MW), Rahughat Mangale Hydropower Project(35.5MW)and Upper Rahughat Hydropower Project (48.5MW).
The pandemic is cruel, but fighting against the pandemic knows no borders,and love neither. By now , Shuifa Group has, as one of state-owned enterprises, shouldered the responsibility of implementing the B&R Initiative, and furthering the friendship between China and Nepal. The company has enhanced the social management for projects development and built a good image of Chinese-funded enterprises.
