Rasuwa Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project is located on Bhotekoshi river near the border of Gyirong port between China and Nepal. A highway, starting from Gyirong port to Kathmandu,the capital of Nepal, and the main city of Porkhara, enables access to the head work and the powerhouse area.
水電站裝機容量120MW（3×40MW），設計流量86.75m3/s，凈水頭164.21m，多年平均發(fā)電量692GWh。電站建成后所生產(chǎn)的電能通過5公里長的220kv輸電線接入位于Rasuwa地區(qū)的Chilime變電站并入尼泊爾國家電網(wǎng)，該部分電力主要供給尼泊爾中部地區(qū)。
The Project has an installed capacity of 120MW (3×40MW), with a designed discharge of 86.75m3/s and a net head of 164.21m. Its average annual electricity generation is 692GWh. After completion, the electricity generated by the station is transmitted through a 5-kilometer-long 220kV transmission line to the Chilime substation located in the Rasuwa region and integrated into the national grid of Nepal. This portion of electricity mainly serves the central region of Nepal.
拉蘇瓦·布特科西水電站作為中國對尼水電投資較大的項目之一，得到了中國駐尼大使館與經(jīng)參處、尼泊爾政府的大力支持和贊賞。2017年被納入四川省“一帶一路”重點項目庫。電站總投資23521.44萬美元，該電站均采用“中國標準，中國技術(shù)、中國設備、中國管理”的全產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈模式，由中國水利水電第七工程局有限公司EPC總承包，中國電建昆明勘測院設計，山東省淮海工程建設監(jiān)理有限公司承擔監(jiān)理工作。已于2021年1月1日全面開工，目前正在全力推進項目貸款的完成。該電站的建設帶動了當?shù)亟ㄖ?、運輸、鋼材、水泥等行業(yè)的快速興起,對促進尼泊爾當?shù)厣鐣?jīng)濟的發(fā)展發(fā)揮重要作用。
As one of China's significant investments in hydroelectric projects in Nepal, Rasuwa Project has received strong support and appreciation from the Chinese Embassy and Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office in Nepal, as well as the Nepalese government. In 2017, it was included in the key project library of the "Belt and Road" initiative of Sichuan Province, China.The total investment in the project amounts to 235.2144 million US dollars. It adopts a complete industry chain model of "Chinese standards, Chinese technology, Chinese equipment, and Chinese management." And it’s executed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract by the Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co.,LTD ,designed by the Powerchina Kuming Engineering Corporation Limited, and supervised by the Shandong Huaihai Engineering Construction Supervision Co., Ltd. Construction commenced comprehensively on January 1, 2021, and efforts are currently underway to complete the project financing.
The construction of the station has stimulated the rapid development of local industries such as construction, transportation, steel, and cement, playing a significant role in promoting the socio-economic development of Nepal.
